Production assemblers needed to join our team and help produce some of the finest truck trailers made in the world.

• 1st & 2nd shift positions available.  1st shift - Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm; 2nd shift - Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am.
• Top wages up to $27.05 per hour which includes a 2nd shift premium.

Job Description:

UTMC, a family-owned 110-year-old company, is the long-term industry leader in refrigerated semi-trailers and North America’s fourth largest semi-trailer manufacturer. UTMC has six manufacturing factories – five in various states within the United States and one in Mexico -- and a research and development facility in California. The HR Administrator will provide support in a variety of HR daily operations including but not limited to employee records management, recruitment and selection, onboarding, benefit administration, employee relations and special administrative projects. The ideal candidate will have HR Experience in a manufacturing environment, is organized and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The HR Administrator will be located at the Glade Spring Factory. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage recruitment, interviewing, and screening of applicants as needed.
•  Onboard new hires- set up and maintain employee profile, walk new hires through company policies and procedures, assign training and ensure set up in the Human Resources Information System and time-keeping system properly.
• Plan and manage company events and activities.
• Establish and maintain the company’s online presence by promoting the organization through approved social media platforms.
• Assist in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through written communications, and/or meetings.
• Resolve employees’ issues related to benefits, company policies, and procedures.
• Conduct wage surveys as needed to ensure competitive wage rates.
• Walk the manufacturing floor, at least once a week, to interact with hourly employees, build rapport with employees and maintain a positive work environment.
• Assist in preparation for HR trainings and other plant meetings
• Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and Corporate HR department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 1st & 2nd shift positions available.  1st shift - Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm; 2nd shift - Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am.
• Top wages up to $28.50 per hour which includes a 2nd shift premium.
• Paid time off, paid holidays, retirement plan, on-site Nurse Practitioner, and a full benefit package offered.
