Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. seeks Driver and Facility Support for its R&D facility located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position will drive and maintain test tractors for our test track.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties according to specific department guidelines:
    • Drive and maintain test tractors.
    • Drive Yard Goat and Forklift as needed.

    During periods that driving is not necessary:

    • Perform general cleanup
    • Support the facility in other various needs and functions.

Tool Crib Attendant | Rancho Cucamonga, CA

The Tool Crib Attendant purchases, receives, stores, and issues tooling, equipment, and other items from tool crib.  They will compile and maintain and stock records. This position reports directly to our R&D Tooling Manager.

 

UTMC has a research and development facility located in Rancho Cucamonga. This is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receives, stores and issues tools and equipment to coworkers while recording the issues and returns.
  • Maintains security of the tool crib during the work shift.
  • May deliver tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truck.
  • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Implement procedures to improve Tool Crib process
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving the inventory into the tool crib.
  • Track shipments and follow up undelivered goods. If vendors have reoccurring deliver delays or undelivered goods; speak to supervisor and source out new vendors
  • Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors.
  • File, index and update inventory cards and record tools received from stockroom.
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
  • Write transmittals for the release of tools and equipment to vendors for repair.
  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer. (examples are cycle counts, spot buys and product sourcing)
  • Perform necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray can.
  • Perform general cleanup, clerical or maintenance work incidental to the operation of the tool crib.
  • Observe safe work practices.
  • Work cooperatively with Manufacturing Management and coworkers to train and make corrections as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Electrician – PLC Technician | Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. seeks a Maintenance Control System Electrician with PLC experience for its R&D facility located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position will be the project lead electrician and be required to perform inspecting, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. The ideal candidate should be able to become familiar with all processes utilized by Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. This position reports directly to our R&D Tooling Supervisor.

 

Job Description:
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints & schematics
  • Experience creating schematics using Constructor and/or Fluid Sim Software is a plus
  • Experience with drive systems, motors, and PLC’s (Rockwell)
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Exposure to pulling electrical wiring through electrical conduit and terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices along with installing and connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, or other components and systems
  • Have experience with installing, bending, and removing conduit
  • Must be able to consult with outside contractors as needed
  • Assists in a variety of functions with manual labor task as needed.
  • Is self-reliant with minimum instruction from Supervisor
